Yeah, it's a zoo ain't it. I currently live below someone who hammers intermittently during the day and up until 10-11 pm. Vacuuming at 1:30 in the morning. Constant traffic, girls screaming, NYPD being called. Oh and I can't forget - use of a power drill. It's beyond insanity, and I HATE it. Pay way, way too much for this crap.
And what about the stupid concerts in the park. I live near the Oval, and it's a blight on my life when they hold these abominations.
If you want to live in "quiet enjoyment" - a legal term of what you ARE DUE as a rental tenant, I would advise: AVOID Parkchester or maybe, just avoid the Bronx in general.

I see people who don't live in Parkchester walk their dogs with the complex and don't clean up after their filthy rodents.

Besides dealing with unreasonable noises at one two in the morning the whole Parkchester complex is deteriorating. Ive seen rats near the parking lot, of the size of a cat. Dirty diapers right in the entance of Unionport Road not least important water bugs inside the lobby of my building. It so disappointing having brought the apartmemt paying a mortgage and in top a high maintanance fee to live in these conditions. The topic of beautification is prioritize over hygiene and quality of life issues. When I express my concerns to management regarding the rats I was told that it was because the working in Metropolitan ave, in other worls get use to the rats, Maybe Welcome them?
