Police are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect wanted in a robbery that took place last week, and investigators have released harrowing video of the crime.
According to the NYPD, on February 16th, around 7 p.m., the male suspect followed two women into an elevator in a Parkchester building near Metropolitan Avenue and Purdy Street in the Bronx. Once inside the elevator, police say the man "brandished a knife while demanding their property. The victims handed the suspect their purse, containing an undetermined amount of money, and fled the location."
The victims were not injured. The suspect is described as 20-22 years old and 5'10" and was last seen wearing a grey jacket, black pants, black hat and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The police also released an image of the suspect, as well as video of the robbery.
